□ Join for our Monthly Community Meetings

Have you joined one of our Monthly Community Meetings yet? It’s one of the simplest ways to stay connected to what’s happening in Fishtown and to make sure neighbor voices are part of the conversation.

The Fishtown Neighbors Association hosts open community meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except July & August when we take a break). This is where you can:

• Hear key updates on neighborhood initiatives, local projects, and what’s coming up next

• Ask questions, raise concerns, and share ideas on the issues that impact everyday life here

• Meet neighbors who care about our community and want to be part of solutions

• Find ways to get involved, whether that’s volunteering, joining a committee, or supporting a specific effort

□ Daylight Saving Time Reminder

Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 8. At 2:00 AM, clocks “spring forward” one hour to 3:00 AM—so we’ll get more light in the evenings, but darker mornings at first.

A few helpful reminders for neighbors:

• Replace smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries (easy annual safety reset)

• Update any appliance clocks and timers

• Expect darker mornings for the first couple of weeks and give yourself a little extra time if you walk, bike, or drive early

• Slow down at intersections and crosswalks, especially during the morning commute

As routines shift with the time change, please use extra caution on the streets—especially near crosswalks and busy intersections.

Want to help shape the future of our neighborhood? There are lots of ways to get involved with Fishtown Neighbors Association:

• Attend monthly community meetings and stay informed on local issues, zoning, safety, and community resources.

• Volunteer your time or skills — from event support to beautification projects, there’s a place for everyone.

• Join a committee such as Zoning, Safety, Beautification, or Events.
