Beautification

The beautification committee improves quality of life by supporting initiatives that contribute to a greener and cleaner Fishtown. We meet on the 4th Thursdays of every month at 6:30pm. Check our calendar to confirm location.

Our current projects:

Cigarette Receptacles

Installing 6 cigarette receptacles in front of participating Fishtown businesses in an effort to reduce cigarette litter. If you are a business interested in a free cigarette receptacle or a resident who wants to help, email us at beautification@fishtown.org. This project was made possible by a grant from Keep Philadelphia Beautiful.

Feed the Fish Trash Cans

Install 12 new Feed the Fish trash cans in front of participating Fishtown businesses in an effort to reduce trash along commercial corridors through art and fun. If you are a business interested in a trash can, an artist who wants to design a can, or a resident who wants to help, email us at beautification@fishtown.org. Fish heads are sponsored by Fishtown Co and Johnny Brenda’s.
